Parmi toutes mes motivations pour aborder la théorie musicale, et surtout la théorie de l'harmonie du jazz, je me souviens en particulier de deux moments clés. Le premier a eu lieu en Belgique, chez un ami d'enfance. Lui et sa mère m'avaient invité à aller voir un festival de jazz en Belgique (Gent Jazz Festival). Je n'avais jamais écouté de jazz à cette époque, et j'ai vraiment pris une claque à ce moment-là. Je me souviens avoir passé quelques semaines après ce voyage à écouter un peu de jazz tous les soirs... Dans ma chambre (in my room). Jane, Alan, merci beaucoup de m'avoir ouvert ces portes. Le deuxième moment a été le jour où j'ai découvert Jacob Collier. Je l'ai découvert grâce à une vidéo de June Lee où tous les deux discutaient de théorèmes sur la musique que je ne comprenais pas du tout à l'époque. Très impressionné par son talent et ses sonorités uniques, je me suis plongé dans son premier album : In My Room...

Among all my motivations to take up music theory, and especially jazz harmony theory, I remember in particular two key moments. The first was in Belgium, at a childhood friend's house.
